Lunar eclipse

I watched the lunar eclipse from my kitchen’s skylight window this evening. As I often do in this apartment, I remarked at how lucky I am. To have such a vantage point on such a rare occasion is special. Tonight the eclipse was only visible in the Americas and, in addition to this, tonight was particularly clear. However, the clear skies also meant that it was cold; -1 F or -18 C. In the newspaper it was written that the only downside to the conditions was the improbability that anyone would want to be out in the cold for any length of time to witness such an event. I was able to do this from my kitchen, drinking a glass of wine.
